The Recreational Soccer League (RSL)
The Recreational Soccer League (RSL) at Sol SC is designed for boys and girls ages 5 to 13 who want to play soccer in a positive, skill-building, and community-centered environment. Whether your child is just starting or simply wants to enjoy the game with friends, RSL offers a supportive first step into team sports—where development, confidence, and connection take center stage.

- U5–U8: $235
- U9–U14: $255
- Fee includes full uniform kit: home and away jerseys, shorts, and socks

What to Expect
- Ages 5U–14U (age on Dec. 31, 2025)
- 1 weekly practice + 1 weekend game
- Co-ed teams based on age, neighborhood, and friend requests
- Format:
- 5U–8U play 4v4 (no goalkeepers)
- 9U–14U play 7v7 (with goalkeepers)
- Season Duration: 11 weeks – 8 guaranteed games + 1 make-up week
- Spring 2026 Start Date: March 6th, 2026
Location & Schedule
- Clermont: Friday practices: 6:00–8:30 PM, Saturday morning games at same location
- Sorrento: Weekday practices: 6:00-8:30pm, Friday night games at same location
- Tavares: 6:00-8:30pm, Friday night practice followed by games at same location
- Spring 2026 Season Dates: 11-week program with 8 guaranteed games + 1 make-up week, Season begins March 6th for all locations

Who can participate in the Recreational Soccer League?
RSL is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 13. Teams are co-ed and grouped by age. No prior experience is required!
How are teams formed?
We build teams based on age, location, and friend requests to ensure a welcoming and balanced experience for all players.
What’s included in the registration fee?
Your fee includes weekly practices and games, a full uniform kit (two jerseys, shorts, socks), and coaching support throughout the season.
When and where are practices and games held?
Do I need to purchase extra gear?
Players will need shin guards, soccer cleats, and a water bottle. We provide the rest!
Who coaches the teams?
Our RSL teams are coached by parent volunteers, supported by Sol SC’s professional staff with training resources and sideline guidance.
What if my child has never played soccer before?
That’s perfectly okay! RSL is designed to introduce kids to soccer in a fun and supportive way. All skill levels are welcome.
Can we request to play with friends?
Yes! We do our best to honor friend and carpool requests submitted during registration.
What happens if a game is canceled due to weather?
We build in one make-up week at the end of the season. If more than one game is canceled, we’ll communicate any additional plans.
Is there an opportunity to move into competitive soccer?
Yes. Many players who enjoy RSL later transition into our or . Our coaches are happy to help families explore the next step.
