but our heart has always stayed the same: developing players, building leaders, and uniting our community.

We have spent decades shaping youth soccer in Central Florida through holistic player development, competitive success, and strong community connections. As a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status, this mission is at the heart of who we are—empowering young athletes, instilling a passion for the game, and providing a clear pathway for players of all levels to grow and have fun playing soccer.
Why "Sol"?
Our name, Sol (Spanish for “sun”), reflects our deep connection to Florida—the Sunshine State—where the warmth, energy, and brightness of the sun mirror our passion for soccer and commitment to player development. Just as the sun fuels growth and strength, Sol SC nurtures talent, builds character, and provides a clear path for every player to reach their full potential. We believe that every player can shine, no matter their starting point.

A Legacy of Soccer in Central Florida
Our club has evolved over the years, but our commitment to players and families remains the same. Here’s a look at our journey:
1971
Established as Tri-County Sports, dedicated to developing and educating young athletes through sports.
1987
Incorporates as Orange County Soccer Club, becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, reinforcing its commitment to youth development.
2008
Orange County Soccer Club and Inter-United Soccer Club merge, signing a licensing agreement with Rush Soccer to become Florida Rush Soccer. The club expands competitive and recreational programs, winning three State Cup Championships and solidifying its presence in Central Florida.
2011-2012
Florida Rush competes on the national stage, qualifying for back-to-back USYS National Championships and winning the 2012 USYS U18 National Championship, establishing itself as one of the premier clubs in the country.
2019
Expands further by merging with ACYS United, growing its Central Florida footprint to nearly 2,000 players, increasing access to high-quality soccer development.
2021
Achieves national recognition as a founding member of MLS NEXT, one of the most prestigious youth development platforms in the country, and is recognized as one of the top 12 clubs in Florida.
2023
Merges with Lake County Soccer Club, strengthening its Central Florida presence with four training locations in West Orange, Clermont, Tavares, and Sorrento, bringing soccer development closer to more families.
2025
Evolving into Sol SC, we have built a fully integrated soccer club with the resources, coaching, and community-driven leadership to support every player’s journey. Moving away from a national brand, we are reclaiming our identity, reinforcing our player-first development, and strengthening our commitment to Central Florida at every level of the game.
